Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Patrons rave about the light and crispy batter of the cod, often highlighting it as the best they've tasted in some time. The chips perfectly complement the fish, being fluffy on the inside and crispy outside, making it a classic combo.

Many customers enjoy the variety lent by the Chinese menu, particularly dishes like salt and pepper chips and an assortment of curries, which offer a flavorful twist to traditional fish and chips. The establishment also caters well to vegetarians and those seeking vegan options, adding to its popularity across diverse dietary preferences.

Friendly and accommodating staff often receive special mentions, enhancing the overall experience and making diners feel valued.

Most Disliked

Some customers express frustration about the cash-only payment policy, which can be inconvenient for those who prefer card payments or need to find a nearby ATM. This minor hiccup doesn't detract from the quality of the food but does require some planning ahead.

A few diners note that while the curry sauce is enjoyable, it can be a bit slimy, which may not appeal to everyone. Despite this, many still rate the meal highly overall. Others mention wait times, particularly during peak hours, and recommend calling ahead to avoid longer waits.

Ordered Salt and Pepper chips and they were gorgeous. Very peppery (black pepper) which is not what S&P chips are normally like but thankfully I love black pepper. The curry sauce was nice albeit a bit slimy 🤔 No marks deducted though 😁 because overall it was a great meal. Shame they don't accept card payments which I find a lot of Chinese takeaways don't for some reason so it meant having to find a cash machine

Very good fish and chips, fish nicely battered, chips not mushed but individual and perfectly cooked. Took the food down and ate on the prom.

Cash only. Brilliant service. We called ahead to enquire about our dietary requirements, they kindly let us know they'd be happy to cook the chips in a separate fryer. Not only was this fab, but the chips were the best chips I've had from a chippy, ever. They were light and fluffy on the inside, yet had a crispy exterior. Would recommend.
